Krug Advances To Three Meter Finals After Successful Semifinal Round At 2007 National Diving Championships

The 2007 Kaiser Permanente National Diving Championships wrapped up the fourth day of competition at Stanford University. All three Stanford divers at the competition were in action today in front of the home crowd, as Cassidy Krug advanced into the 3 meter finals.
The 3 meter quarterfinal event featured all three Stanford divers at the competition. Krug earned a score of 270.90 in the prelims to advance to the semifinals in third place. Margaret Hostage posted a score of 219.85, finishing the quarterfinals in 21st place, but was not able to advance into the next round. The final Stanford diver was Sarah Ohr, who finished the prelims in 31st place with her score of 197.25.
In the 3 meter semifinals, Krug continued her successful diving as she claimed fourth place with a score of 299.85. She will compete in the event finals against the rest of the top eight on Sunday, August 5 at 12:00 p.m. Kelci Bryant (NTC) heads into the finals atop the leader board with a score of 335.20.
