Stanford Affiliates Wrap Up Action At Summer Senior Nationals

Indianapolis, Ind. - Stanford women's swimming affiliates wrapped up five days of action at the long-course meters 2007 ConocoPhillips USA Swimming National Championships on Saturday. Julia Smit's 200 IM bronze medal in a personal-best time of 2:12.99 highlighted performances by Stanford affiliates at the IU Natatorium on the campus of Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis.
'Julia swam a lot of great races in a long summer of racing for her and to finish it with a personal-best time is quite an accomplishment,' noted Stanford women's swimming head coach Lea Maurer.
Davis and O'Donnell-McCarthy were also members of 4x100 medley relay teams for the Terrapins Swim Club and DeAnza Cupertino Aquatics, respectively. Davis swam the 100 butterfly leg in 1:02.68 for a 10th-place squad that finished in 4:13.91. O'Donnell-McCarthy anchored her foursome that finished 31st in a time of 4:20.69 with a 57.53 leg in the 100 free.
