Three Bruins Scheduled to compete in U.S. Women's Amateur Field

Three UCLA golfers will tee it up at the 107th U.S. Women's Amateurbeginning Monday at Crooked Stick GC in Carmel, IN.

Junior Tiffany Joh, sophomore Sydnee Michaels and incoming freshman MariaJose Uribe are scheduled to commence stroke play on Aug. 6. Joh and Uribe will start on the 10th tee Monday. Joh tees off at 7:41 a.m. and Uribe tees off at 2:04 p.m. Michaels will tee off on the first hole at 12:52 p.m. All times are CDT.

The U.S. Women's Amateur, one of the three original tournaments staged bythe USGA, consists of 36 holes of stroke play followed by match play forthe low 64 players.

Joh, the 2006 U.S. Women's Amateur Publinks champion, advanced to thesecond round of match play last season. Michaels advanced to the thirdround of match play last season. Uribe tied for 31st in stroke play andadvanced to the second round in 2006.
