USA Gymnastics Championships Coming to San Jose

The USA Gymnastics Championships will be coming to San Jose. It is an opportunity to see some of he best gymnasts in the country as they compete for a spot on the 2007 World Championship team. Current Stanford Women's gymnasts that are former National team members include Tabitha Yim, Liz Tricase, Carly Janiga, and Allyse Ishino. Ishino was also an alternate for the 2004 Olympic team.

Liz Tricase is another former national team member for Stanford Women's Gymnastics.

Stanford Women's Gymnastics has had a revival under the watch of head coach Kristen Smyth and is coming off the best season in school history when they finished four tenths out of second place in last year's NCAA Championships. This season, with every team member returning, the team has set the goal of a national championship.

The US Championships in San Jose will be an opportunity to see some of the Cardinal gymnasts, compete with the nation's best. Ticket information is available through

Visa Championships Opening Ceremonies

Outside HP Pavilion (South Entrance). This is the ceremonial opening of the Visa Championships. Speakers include Mayor Reed and Olympic Champion Peter Vidmar. Following the opening ceremony, we invite you to attend the Junior Men All-Around and Individual Events Competition.
