Markus Rogan Takes Silver Medal At World University Games

Bangkok, Thailand - Former Stanford swimmer Markus Rogan picked up a silver medal in the 100 back at the long-course meters 2007 World University Games at Aquatic Stadium on Sunday. Rogan recorded a time of 54.27 to finish just six-hundredths of a second behind winner Helge Folkert Meeuw of Germany. Rogan also swam a 1:48.44 third leg of Austria's fourth-place 4x200 medley free relay team that finished in 7:18.31.

Current Stanford swimmer Shaun Phillips took sixth in the 400 free in 3:53.70 after going 3:53.40 in the heats earlier in the day.
