Markus Rogan Wins World University Games 200 Back Gold

Bangkok, Thailand - Former Stanford swimmer Markus Rogan captured the gold medal in the 200 back on the opening day of swimming competition Thursday at the long-course meters 2007 World University Games at Aquatic Stadium. Rogan cruised to the victory in 1:56.66, beating his nearest competitor by nearly a full second and a half. Current Stanford swimmer Hongzhe Sun was sixth in 2:00.69.
