Five Former Bruins Headed To Sweden For U.S. National Team Game Aug. 22.

Five former UCLA stars have been named to the U.S. Men's National Team roster for a friendly against Sweden on Aug. 22 in Göteborg, Sweden, including 2006 All-American Sal Zizzo, who recently signed a professional contract with German squad Hannover 96, forgoing his final two years of eligibility.

The Bruins on the 19-man roster are defenders Carlos Bocanegra (1997-99) and Jonathan Bornstein (2004-05), midfielder Benny Feilhaber (2003-04) and forwards Kamani Hill (2004-05) and Zizzo (2005-06).

The majority of the U.S. players are European-based, including English Premier League players Bocanegra (Fulham FC) and Feilhaber (Derby County) and German Bundesliga players Hill (VfL Wolfsburg) and Zizzo (Hannover 96).

The U.S. team will begin arriving in Göteborg on Sunday, Aug. 19 and will train twice before Wednesday's match. Kickoff at Ullevi Stadium is set for 11:30 a.m. PT and will be broadcast live on Fox Soccer Channel. Galavision will also air the match delayed at 2:30 p.m. PT.
