Four Players Earn Scholar-Athlete Honors

Four members of the 2007 Cardinal men's tennis team were recently named Scholar-Athletes by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. In addition, Stanford was honored as an 'All-Academic Team' by the ITA.
Earning Scholar-Athlete recognition were seniors David Ryan and Eric McKean, sophomore Jeff Zeller and freshman Richard Wire. Ryan was previously named First-Team Academic All-Pac-10 while McKean and Zeller were Second-Team selections.
To be eligible for Scholar-Athlete honors, players had to have a minimum 3.5 GPA. As a team, All-Academic teams had to have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or better.
