Stanford Affiliates Compete Tuesday At 2007 Japan International Swim Meet

Chiba, Japan - A trio of Stanford men's swimming affiliates participated Tuesday during the first day of action at the long-course meters 2007 Japan International Swim Meet being held at the Chiba International General Swimming Center.

Former Stanford men's swimmer Randall Bal (1999-2003) clocked a 50.18 second leg of a fourth-place American team that finished the 4x100 free relay in 3:19.41. Current Stanford swimmer Paul Zaich was 15th overall in the 100 breast (1:03.06) as he took seventh in the B finals, while 2007-08 incoming freshman John Criste placed 19th with a mark of 1:03.24 in the prelims to just miss qualifying for the B finals.
