Tara Kirk Takes 100 Breast Bronze Tuesday At 2007 Japan International Swim Meet

Chiba, Japan - Former Stanford women's swimmer Tara Kirk (2000-04) took a bronze medal in the 100 breast Tuesday on the first day of the long-course meters 2007 Japan International Swim Meet being held at the Chiba International General Swimming Center. Kirk finished the finals in a time of 1:07.31 to place behind winner Leisel Jones of Australia (1:06.15) and fellow country mate Rebecca Soni (1:06.94).
Kirk and her sister, Dana Kirk, are the two Stanford women's swimming affiliates participating in the four-day meet that continues through Friday, August 24, 2007. Dana is scheduled to make her debut in the meet on Wednesday in the 200 fly.
