Joh Ties for 22nd at Safeway Classic

UCLA junior Tiffany Joh, competing in her first LPGA event as an amateur, tied for 22nd place at the Safeway Classic Sunday at the Columbia Edgewater Country Club in Portland, Ore.

Joh posted a final round one-under par 71 for a 54-hole total of 215 (-1). She played the final 36 holes in three-under par after carding a 74 (+2) in the first round.

Three other former UCLA players, now professionals, finished behind Joh: rookies Charlotte Mayorkas and Jane Park tied for 34th at 217 (+1) and Giulia Sergas tied for 45th at 218 (+2).

Top ranked Lorena Ochoa won the tournament with a three round score of 12-under par 202.
