UCLA Women's Soccer Game vs. Houston Suspended Due to Lightning

Aug. 31, 2007

HOUSTON - Friday night's women's soccer match between third-ranked UCLA and Houston was cancelled due to lightning. UCLA was leading 4-0 in the 48th minute of play when the game was suspended. A two-hour delay ensued before the game was called by officials.

There is a chance that the game will be resumed on Monday morning.

UCLA's Lauren Cheney had two goals for the Bruins. Danesha Adams and Dana Wall had the others. UCLA scored three of its goals in the first 10 minutes of action.

The Bruins' match with Texas tomorrow is still scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Houston's John O'Quinn Stadium.
