Husky Women Fall to UW-Milwaukee, 2-1

MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Despite Melissa Beal's first goal of the season, the Husky women fell 2-1 Sunday Afternoon to UW-Milwaukee. The Dawgs' second game in the Milwaukee Cup was played at Engelmann Field.
After UW-Milwaukee's header shot by Sarah Teegarden, Husky Dani Bridges received her first yellow card of the season.
The Panthers (2-0) tied the score with a goal by Kate Megna at 22:23, assisted by Erin Kreusser.
UW-Milwaukee took the lead within the first minute of the second half when Nicole Sperl sent her shot past Husky goalkeeper Taylor Carr.
Washington took its second yellow card of the game when the team was penalized at 55:42.
The Dawgs were outshot by the Panthers 16-6.
The Husky women continue their season next weekend at the Husky/Nike Invitational where they take on Purdue (Sept. 7, 7 pm) and Fullerton (Sept. 9, 1:30 pm) at Husky Field in Seattle.
