Are You Ready For Gameday?
Sept. 7, 2007
SEATTLE - The University of Washington opens its 2007 home schedule, described as the toughest in the nation by most observers, Saturday afternoon against 22nd-ranked Boise State.
The Huskies enter the game (12:30 p.m., FSN Northwest) with a 1-0 record following a 42-12 dismantling at Syracuse in front of a national ESPN audience in a rare Friday night game in the Carrier Dome. Louis Rankin rushed for a career-high 147 yards and three touchdowns, while Jake Locker rushed for two TDs and didn't commit a turnover in his first game as a Husky.
Needless to say, the optimism that Husky fans are showing these days has translated to a near-sellout crowd expected Saturday at 72,500-seat Husky Stadium.
