Stanford Adds Chase Beeler To Football Program

Stanford, Calif. - Stanford has added sophomore offensive lineman Chase Beeler to its football program. The former Oklahoma player who was also heavily recruited by Stanford in 2006 has transferred to Stanford and will be eligible to play for the Cardinal in 2008.
Beeler saw action in five games at center with one start as a true freshman in 2006. He recorded 11 of his 18 knockdowns and took 52 of his 85 snaps against the Tulsa in that start. Beeler also played in games against Oregon, Texas, Colorado and Iowa State.
Beeler was a First Team All-State selection by the Tulsa World, Oklahoman and Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State selection as a prep star at Jenks High School in Oklahoma. Tulsa World also named him a District 6A-4 Lineman.
