WALNUT CREEK, Calif.-- UCLA senior midfielder/forward Danesha Adams has been named the Pac-10 Women's Soccer Player of the Week for Sep. 4-10, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Adams, from Shaker Heights, Ohio, moved into second on the UCLA career scoring charts after tallying five goals in a pair of Bruin victories, including a hat trick in UCLA's victory over No. 11 Illinois at the UCLA Women's Cup.
The hat trick was the first Bruin three-plus goal performance since Adams accomplished the feat Nov. 25, 2005, when she blasted four goals in a 5-0 win over Virgina in the NCAA semifinals.
Adams came back on Sunday to score two more goals in the Bruins 3-0 victory over San Francisco to finish the weekend with 10 points.
