Women's Golf to Open Season in Franklin, Tenn.

Franklin, Tenn. - The second-ranked Arizona State women's golf team will open the season at the Mason Rudolph Women's Championship, Sept. 14-16, in Franklin, Tenn. The tournament, hosted by no. 10 Vanderbilt, features a stacked 17-team field including 13 teams ranked in the recent Golf World/NGCA Coaches' Poll.

The field for the tournament consists of: Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, Duke, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Purdue, South Carolina, Stanford, UCLA, USC, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest.

The line-up for the Sun Devils includes junior All-American Azahara Munoz (Malaga, Spain), sophomore All-American Anna Nordqvist (Eskilstuna, Sweden), junior All-American Jennifer Osborn (Huntington Beach, Calif.), sophomore Juliana Murcia (Bogota, Colombia), and senior Camila Sola (Buenos Aires, Argentina).

ASU last played in the Mason Rudolph Women's Championship in 2005, where they finished in sixth place. Munoz, then a freshman, led the team with her fifth-place finish.
