Note on Traffic From ADOT For Saturday Night's Game

Sept. 21, 2007

A traffic alert for Southeast Valley fans heading to Sun Devil Stadium for Saturday night's game against Oregon State.

The Arizona Department of Transportation says northbound Loop 101 will be closed for construction work this weekend between the Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway and McDonald Drive in the Scottsdale area.

To avoid anticipated traffic congestion on the northbound Loop 101, fans who normally use the northbound Loop 101 north of US 60 to approach Sun Devil Stadium should consider an alternate route, including exiting US 60 to northbound McClintock Drive.

After the game, fans heading to Scottsdale and the north Valley also should use an alternate route, including major northbound surface streets such as McClintock Drive/Hayden Road to travel beyond the Loop 101 closure at McDonald Drive. Drivers can use eastbound Via de Ventura to reach the Loop 101.

ADOT also recommends drivers consider using State Route 51 as an alternate route to reach the northeast Valley this weekend.
