If the first weekend of league play is any indication of what's to come this season, no Pac-10 team will be able to take each other lightly. Of the nine league matches played last weekend, three went five games (33 percent). Compared to what the Pac-10 did in non-conference matches to date - of 117 matches, only 15 went five games (13 percent) - and you can see that the team that captures the league title will have certainly earned it... The league's non-conference mark stands at 97-20 (.829). That mark includes a record of 17-3 (.850) against opponents ranked in the CSTV/AVCA Top 25... USC and STANFORD battle in this week's FSN televised match. Paul Sunderland calls the action, while Holly McPeak and Karch Kiraly provide commentary... Six Pac-10 teams grace the CSTV/AVCA Top 25, including five among the Top 10 - No. 2 Stanford, No. 4 USC, No. 5 UCLA, No. 8 Washington, No. 10 California, and No. 21 Oregon.
