Sept. 25, 2007

Albuquerque, N.M. - The Arizona State women's soccer team fell to New Mexico Tuesday, 1-0, in front of a crowd of 903 at the UNM Soccer Complex in Albuquerque, N.M. The Sun Devils drop to 4-4-0 on the season, while the Lobos improve to 5-2-2 overall.

The New Mexico goal came in the first half of play when junior Krista Peterson put a through ball to the right side past ASU goalkeeper Briana Silvestri and found freshman Alexis Ball for the score.

The Sun Devils out-shot the Lobos 22 to nine and had a plus five advantage in corner kicks, but failed to put the ball in the net.

Silvestri recorded two saves for ASU in the loss to New Mexico.

The Sun Devils return to Tempe for a Friday night match with the San Diego State Aztecs at Sun Devil Soccer Stadium. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
