Burduli Falls in Opening Round at All-American Championship

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Senior Ekaterina Burduli fell in her opening round match at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-American Championship, Saturday afternoon on the UCLA campus.

Burduli dropped a 6-0, 6-3 contest against Duke's Tory Zawacki in the opening round of the prequalifying draw. Entering the event she needed to win three matches to advance to the qualifying round.

A year ago Burduli advanced to the qualifying round at the All-American Championship before falling to Wisconsin's Caitlin Burke, 6-4, 6-4.

The Cougars are next in action Oct. 6-8 at the USTA NTC Women's College Tennis Invitational, held at the USTA National Tennis Center in New York.
