Trey Brown Named U.S. Bank Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Week

Senior cornerback Trey Brown is the latest Bruin to be named a U.S. Bank Pac-10 Player of the Week as he has been honored for his defense in UCLA's win over the weekend.

Brown came up with the big plays on defense in UCLA's 40-14 roadwin at Oregon State. He intercepted two passes and made eight tackles (seven solo) as the UCLA defense limited Oregon State to 248 yards of total offense (102 rushing, 146 passing), while also forcing five turnovers.

Cal's DeSean Jackson (offense) and Arizona State's Thomas Weber (special teams) join Brown as this week's honorees.

UCLA players have been honored on four of the five weeks with Players of the Week. Ben Olson (Sept. 1), Aaron Perez (Sept. 8), Matthew Slater (Sept. 22) and Brown (Sept. 29).
