THIS WEEK: Washington State concludes its nonconfernce schedule at Idaho Friday, Oct. 5 at 3 or a tie would secure the Cougars' best nonconference record in school history...match will take place at Guy Wicks Field on Idaho's campus and admission is free.

NATIONAL RANKINGS: Washington State is ranked 25th nationally by Soccer America and 30th by Soccer Buzz...receiving votes in National Soccer Coaches Association of America and Soccer Times polls...first time Cougars have been ranked three consecutive weeks since WSU appeared in five straight Soccer America polls Sept. 6-Oct. 4, 1994.

COMEBACK COUGARS: Seven times this season, WSU has been down a goal...Cougars have tied the match six times...WSU trailed Montana 1-0 and won 2-1...fell behind Utah 1-0, 2-1 and 3-2 and tied 3-3...won 2-1 in double-overtime against Princeton after being down 1-0...gave up first score in 1-1 tie with Idaho State.

HALFTIME ADJUSTMENTS: Washington State has netted 13 of its 15 goals this season after intermission...Cougars have scored 11 times in the second half and twice in the second overtime stanza.

EARLY DEFENSE: The Cougars have given up eight goals this season, only two in the first half...Utah scored in the second minute of a 3-3 tie, Sept. 9 and Idaho State tallied its lone goal of a 1-1 tie in the 24th minute, Sept. 30.
