California Freshman Forward Andrew Wiedeman Named Pac-10 Men's Soccer Player of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.-- CALIFORNIA freshman forward Andrew Wiedeman has been named the Pac-10 Men's Soccer Player of the Week for Oct. 2 - 8, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Wiedeman, from San Ramon, Calif., scored the first two goals in the Bears' 3-0 victory over Oregon State last Sunday to improve their Conference record to 2-0-0. Cal's first victory was against Washington where Wiedeman recorded two assists as the Bears went on to win 2-1.
Currently, Wiedeman leads the Bears in points (12), goals (4) and assists (4).
This is Wiedeman's first weekly honor and the 11th all-time award for the Bears.
