Stanford begins play at the ITA Regional Championships in Seattle

Six singles players and three doubles teams will take to the University of Washington Lloyd Nordstrom Tennis Center October 12-16 at the ITA Regional Championships in Seattle, Washington in what will be the opening tournament for many of the Cardinal.

Sophomore Richard Wire enters as the second seed in the tournament of 70 singles players followed by ninth seeded junior Blake Muller. Both Wire and Muller along with freshman Ted Kelley and sophomore Kevin Kaiser received a bye into the round of 64. Junior Jeff Zeller and freshman Greg Hirshman complete the singles contingent.

In doubles Kelly and Muller are seeded number one overall, followed by the fifth seeded team of Hirshman and Wire and unseeded Kaiser and Keller round out the Cardinal doubles teams.

Stanford returns to action October 26-28 at the Cal Classic in Berkeley.
