USC's Lovemark Named Pac-10 Golfer of the Month

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.--Jamie Lovemark of USC has been named Pacific-10 Conference Golfer of the Month for September 2007.

Lovemark, a sophomore from Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., played for the victorious U.S. Walker Cup team, going 3-0 in his matches to help the USA amateur squad to a one-point victory over Great Britain and Ireland. Lovemark, the defending Pac-10 and NCAA individual champion, also finished tied for sixth in the Ping Fall Preview in his only collegiate event of the month.

Also nominated for player of the month honors were Rob Grube of Stanford, with a pair of top 10 finishes in September, and Jesper Kennegard of Arizona State, a freshman who tied for sixth in the Ping Fall Preview in his debut for the Sun Devils.
