Stanford men's and women's cross country runners concluded competition at the Pre-NCAA Invitational in Terra Haute, IN this afternoon. The women's team showed the rest of the country why there are ranked No. 1 as they took home the team title with 102 points. The men accumulated 264 total points to earn a sixth place finish. sixth place finish.

The Stanford women captured the team title with 102 points, while Florida State was the runner-up with 123 points. Teresa McWalters led the way for the Cardinal women as she earned a second place finish in a time of 20:01, followed right behind by teammate Arianna Lambie who finished in a time of 20:02 to claim third place. Alicia Follmar was the third Stanford runner to finish as she ran to a 23rd place finish in a time of 20:51, while Alex Gits crossed the line in 20:58 for a 31st place finish. Kate Niehaus was the final Cardinal runner to score for her team, finishing in 43rd with a time of 21:08. Lindsay Allen (21:11) and Katie Harrington (21:15) finished in 47th and 52nd place, respectively. Susan Kuijken of Florida State won the individual title with her time of 19:55.5.

The Cardinal men grabbed a sixth place finish as they posted 264 team points, while UTEP captured the team title with 129 points. Stanford was led by Russell Brown who posted a time of 23:37 to earn an 11th place finish. Hari Mix was the next Cardinal to cross the line as he finished 23rd with a time of 23:47, while teammate Neftalem Araia posted a time of 24:04 for a 50th place finish. Hakon DeVries was next in the line of Stanford runners, crossing the line in 56th place with a 24:09, followed by the final Cardinal point scorer, John McGuire, who finished in 124th place in a time of 24:48. Justin Marpole-Bird was the number six runner for Stanford, coming in 141st overall with his time of 24:55. Josh McDougal of Liberty was the top finisher in the race in a course record time of 22:56.4.
