UCLA Women's Rowing Finishes Third at Head of the Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The UCLA women's rowing varsity eight crew raced to a third-place finish out of 19 boats at the Head of the Oklahoma on Sunday afternoon.

The Bruins posted a time of 15 minutes and 8.558 seconds, finishing less than fourth tenths of one second (0.389) behind second-place Stanford. Washington State led the way, clocking in at 15:03.554.

Rounding out the top five finishers were Washington State's 'B' crew, and the University of Texas.

The UCLA women's rowing team returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Head of the American in Rancho Cordova, Calif. The Bruins conclude their fall season two weekends later at the Head of the Marina (Nov. 10) and the Newport Autumn Rowing Festival (Nov. 11).
