Andy Stankiewicz Hosts ASU Defensive Camp This Weekend

TEMPE, Ariz. - Seven-year MLB veteran and current ASU assistant coach Andy Stankiewicz will host a two-day defensive specialty camp this weekend October 20 & 21 at Packard Stadium on the campus of Arizona State University. This defense-only camp is designed to cover various infield and outfield drills and techniques. The emphasis of this two-day clinic is to teach and refine defensive fundamentals as well as help improve fielding mechanics and defensive aptitude.

Players will perform position specific drills as well as work on techniques designed to improve hand-eye coordination and throwing accuracy. Players will also work on situational defenses including bunt defenses, relays and cutoffs, and rundowns.Camps here at Arizona State University are considered the best available. Players have the opportunity to learn the skills needed to become successful and be able to apply them to your game.

There will not be catching instruction at this camp.

The camp runs from 9 am - 3 pm each day and a camp T-shirt, information packet and lunch will be provided.
