ASU Closes Out The Fall Season With Final Round In Florida

The ASU Men's golf team finished the fall season today at the Isleworth Invitational in Orlando, Florida. The Sun Devils finished the tournament in 16th place with a 31-over 895 (296-298-301). Sophomore Knut Borsheim led the team with a 5-over 221 (72-76-73).

The tournament title went to the University of Georgia who blew away the field with a 23-under 841 (291-275-275). Harris English of Georgia also won the individual title with an 11-under 205. He shot a 6-under 66 in the final round to take the lead on the final day.

Freshman Jed Dirksen shot a 6-over 222 (70-76-76), freshman James Byrne shot a 7-over 223 (74-72-77), freshman Jesper Kennegard turned in a 13-over 229 (80-74-75) and junior Steele DeWald rounded out the Sun Devils with a 37-over 253 (82-82-89).

The Sun Devils will now head back to Tempe and practice for the heart of their season in the spring. They will be back in action on February 6-8 at the Big Island Invitational in Kona, Hawai'i.
