Women's Hoops To Hold Select-A-Seat Event Friday

SEATTLE -- The Washington athletic department will hold a Husky Women's Basketball Select-A-Seat Event, Friday, Oct. 26, from 5:15-6 p.m. at Bank of America Arena on the UW campus.
The event will give fans the opportunity to check out available season ticket locations first hand. All select-a-seat participants are invited to stay after the event for a special Meet and Greet with the 2007-08 Washington women's basketball team and watch the Husky women's volleyball match with Washington State at 7 p.m. Participants should enter the arena via the Southwest Porch.

Season and single-game tickets for Husky women's basketball games are on sale and can be purchased by contacting the Husky Ticket Office at 206-543-2200 or by clicking here. Season ticket prices are $180 for reserved chair-backs and $90 for general admission bleacher seats. Individual game ticket prices are $12 for reserved seating and $6 for general admission.
A Five-Game Plan is also available for $50 with fans being able to choose tickets for any five games. The plan includes a free general admission coupon for a non-conference game with each package purchased.
Dads & daughters are encouraged to participate in the UW - KJR AM Dads & Daughters event series. For just $15 each participant will receive a t-shirt, a ticket to the women's basketball game vs. Arizona on Jan. 26 and the choice of attending two other women's sport events (women's soccer, volleyball, gymnastics or softball). The Huskies will have a highly competitive home slate that includes Big Ten powers Ohio State (Dec. 16) and Purdue (Dec. 21), as well as the annual Husky Classic (Nov. 23 and 25) and Pac-10 showdowns with USC (Jan. 13), Arizona State (Jan. 24), Stanford (Feb. 29) and California (March 2).
The season is right around the corner, with the first exhibition scheduled to take place with the Huskies facing Love & Basketball, Saturday, Nov. 3, at 2 p.m. at Bank of America Arena. UW will also host Seattle Pacific in an exhibition, Tuesday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m. Admission for both exhibition contests will be free.
After opening the season on the road at Kansas State (Nov. 10), Gonzaga (Nov. 12) and at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Classic (Nov. 16-18), UW will make its home debut versus Idaho in the first round of the Husky Classic, Friday, Nov. 23, at 2 p.m. Arkansas State and Weber State round out the four-team Husky Classic field that continues on Sunday, Nov. 25.
