Huskies Tie Oregon State 1-1 in Women's Soccer

SEATTLE - Senior Shuree Hyatt tallied her fourth goal in five games for the Washington women who tied Oregon State 1-1, Friday in a Pac-10 contest at Husky Soccer Field.
The Huskies (4-9-1), who outshot OSU 20-10, saw their Pac-10 record move to 1-2-1. The Beavers (7-7-2) are 0-4-1 in conference games.
Hyatt scored on a six-yard strike in front of the goalmouth at 10:22. Robin Alexander (Broomfield, Colo.) received a pass from Jenna Robison (Livermore, Calif.) and served a cross into the box to set up Hyatt's team-leading sixth goal.
Oregon State capitalized on a corner kick to net the equalizer at 83:53. Monica Storm's eight-yard header at the far post finished Courtney Wetzel's boot from the left corner.
Washington dominated during its first overtime of the season, but was unable to score despite a 7-1 shot advantage during the extra session.
OSU goalkeeper Caitlin Seeley recorded five of her seven saves during the second, 10-minute overtime session to hold off the Huskies.
Sophomore Taylor Carr (Culver City, Calif.) was credited with two saves for the Huskies.
The Washington women conclude their three-game homestand, Sunday, Oct. 28 against Oregon. Kick-off is noon at Husky Soccer Field.
