Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown Up Next For Women's Golf

SEATTLE - The Washington women's golf team wraps up its fall season of competition when the Huskies compete in the Last Vegas Collegiate Showdown, Monday, Oct. 29, through Wednesday, Oct. 31.
The tournament will be held at the par-71, 6,722-yard Angel Park Golf Course in Las Vegas, Nev. Tee times on Monday and Tuesday will start at 8:30 a.m. MST, with Wednesday to feature a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. MST. Live scoring will be available on GolfStat.com.
The Huskies will play against another top-notched field, with 12 of the 18 teams ranked in the latest GolfWeek Top-50 and seven ranked in the Top-25. In addition to Washington, the field includes No. 8 Arizona, No. 37 BYU, Colorado State, No. 13 Denver, Eastern Washington, Kent State, Long Beach State, No. 48 Missouri, No. 27 New Mexico, No. 15 Oklahoma State, No. 16 Pepperdine, SMU, No. 32 Stanford, No. 23 TCU, No. 11 Tennessee, No. 26 Texas A&M and host UNLV.
Oklahoma State won last year's Last Vegas Collegiate Showdown at 9-under 855, while Texas A&M's Ashley Knoll took home 2006 medalist honors (7-under 209). The Huskies finished 16th at last year's event (55-over 919).
Washington is coming off a 13th place finish at the Stanford Intercollegiate last weekend. UW shot 78-over 930 and ended in a tie with San Jose State. UW freshman Karinn Dickinson led the way for the Huskies in her collegiate debut, finishing 32nd at 12-over 225.
Following the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown, the Huskies will enjoy a long winter break and will return to the competitive links at the Arizona Invitational, Feb. 25-27 in Tucson, Ariz
