Women's Golf Wraps Up Fall Season In Hawai'i

What's Happening This Week: The Washington State University women's golf team concludes its fall season in Kapolei, Hawai'i, at the Kent Youel Invitational, Tuesday...the two-day, 54-hole tournament begins with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m....the final 18 holes of play will begin at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start on Wednesday...complete results will be available at wsucougars.com.

In the Rankings: In the latest Golfstat team ratings, the Washington State women rank 44th...the Cougars also remain in the top 50 of the latest Golfweek rankings, coming in at No. 47.

The Field: In the field of 18, seven teams are ranked in the top 50 of the latest Golfweek rankings...the Cougars are paired with top-ranked UCLA, No. 4 Southern California, No. 9 California, No. 42 San Jose State, No. 44 Colorado and No. 50 San Francisco...the Cougars also face Boise State, Cal State Northridge, Central Arkansas, Fresno State, Hawai'i, Iowa, New Mexico State, Oregon State, Portland State, Santa Clara and UC Irvine.

Coach Williams' Thoughts On the Fall Season: 'We are a bit down after disappointing performances by both teams in our last outings,' WSU Head Coach Walt Williams said. 'But, we look to rebound this week and end the fall on a positive note for both teams and go into the off-season motivated to work hard and achieve our season goals.'

Traveling for the Cougars: Five Cougars will be traveling to Hawai'i to take a swing at victory for the final fall tournament...the Cougar contingent includes senior Brooke Henderson, juniors Amy Eneroth and Jessica Black, sophomore Diana Hong and freshman Allison Travis.

Last Time Out: Facing their most difficult field of the fall season, the Cougars finished in 18th place at the Stanford Intercollegiate on the par-71, 6,089-yard Stanford Golf Course...playing in a field consisting of 11 of the nation's top 30 teams, the Cougars finished the three-day tournament with a combined score of 946...the women were led by Eneroth who shot a 233 and ended the tournament in a tie for 47th.
