Huskies 12th After Second Round of Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Washington women's golf shot a second-round score of 20-over 308 to fall to 12th at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown at Angel Park Mountain Golf Course, Tuesday.
The Huskies, who began the day tied for 11th after carding a 13-over 301 in the first round, are 33-over 609 heading into the final round, Wednesday. Denver leads the team field (6-under 570), followed by Arizona (1-under 575) and Tennessee (3-over 297).
Sophomores Molly Aronsson and Christina Yoon are the top two Huskies tied for 37th in the individual standings. Arronsson shot a second-round score of 4-over 76, while Yoon carded a 5-over 77. Both are 6-over 150.
Freshman Karinn Dickinson turned in the best round of the day for UW, shooting a 1-over 73 in the second round, improving five strokes from her first round score. Dickinson is tied for 46th at 7-over 151.
Denver's Katie Kempter leads the player leaderboard (8-under 136) after carding 5-under 67 and 3-under 69. Arizona's Alejandra Llaneza and Tennessee's Marci Turner are tied for second at 5-under 139.
The final round of the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown tees off Wednesday with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
