AROUND THE LEAGUE: Just three Pac-10 men's soccer games were played last week, as the WASHINGTON (2-3-1, 7-6-2) at SAN DIEGO STATE (4-2-0, 8-4-2) match was postponed due to the fires and air quality in and around San Diego County ... The game originally scheduled for last Friday has been moved to Sun., Nov. 18 at 12 noon ... It will be the last regular season game of the 2007 season ... Both the Huskies and the Aztecs played the other half of their weekend series, each coming away with a win ... UW posted a 1-0 win over UCLA (4-2-1, 8-6-2) on Sunday, while SDSU took care of OREGON STATE (2-5-0, 5-10-0), 3-0 that same day ... The Huskies, who snapped the Bruins' four-game winning streak, have now posted five wins over ranked opponents this season ... The Bruins earned a weekend split as they defeated the Beavers 2-1 on Friday ... With just three weeks left in the season, five Pac-10 teams have a winning record at .500 or above ... On this date last season, just four Conference squads were above the .500 plateau ... Five teams are also ranked in this week's Top Drawer Soccer poll, including 11th-ranked UCLA, 20th-ranked CALIFORNIA (3-2-0, 8-4-1), 30th-ranked STANFORD (1-2-2, 4-4-5), 33rd-ranked San Diego State and 36th-ranked Washington ... This week's schedule will certainly impact the race to crown the 2007 Pac-10 champion ... Just one point separates first-place UCLA (13) and second-place San Diego State (12), while California is right behind with nine points in sole possession of third ... No team can be counted out as squads continue to beat up on each other at home and on the road ... California, which had last week off, is undefeated in Pac-10 play at home with a 3-0-0 record ... Similarly, Stanford has also been unbeaten on its home field with a 1-0-1 record ... The Bears will be looking for some revenge when they host the Aztecs on Friday ... The Bruins are facing a well-rested team in the Cardinal who have not played since Oct. 20 ... Oregon State looks to improve the Pac-10's non-conference record this week as it takes on Loyola Marymount and Cal State Bakersfield ... Washington has a bye week before returning to the pitch in a week against the Bay Area schools.
