Cougars Host LCSC in Exhibition Game Sunday
Nov. 3, 2007
PULLMAN, Wash. - With expectations already set high for the 2007-08 season, the Washington State University men's basketball team will give its fans its first true glimpse of the squad as the Cougars host Lewis-Clark State College in an exhibition game, Sunday, Nov. 4 at 4 p.m. at Friel Court.
The Cougars return four-of-five starters from last year's record-setting and NCAA Tournament squad, including preseason Wooden and Naismith Award candidates Derrick Low and Kyle Weaver. For the first time in school history WSU is ranked in the preseason Associated Press Poll, coming in at 10th, adding a No. 10 ranking in the ESPN/USA Today preseason poll. The Cougars were also picked to finish second in the Pacific-10 Conference by the media in the league's preseason poll.
Admission to Sunday's exhibition game against the Warriors is free, while parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. Students attending Sunday's game will have the chance to pick up their ticket for Friday's season-opener against Eastern Washington at Friel Court. Student guest tickets will be on sale at that time as well.
Tickets are going fast this season, as the Cougars' game against Washington March 8 is sold out, less than 100 tickets remain for the season opener Nov. 9 and fewer than 200 tickets are left for their game against UCLA Feb. 7. Although going fast, single-game and season tickets are still available by calling 800-GO-COUGS from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday or by logging onto www.wsucougars.com.
