Hagglund Named Pac-10 Player of the Week

SEATTLE - Freshman setter Jenna Hagglund has been named the Pac-10 Volleyball Player of the Week for Oct. 29 - Nov. 4 as announced by the Pac-10 this morning.
Hagglund, from West Chester, Ohio, helped the Huskies to road sweeps of Arizona and Arizona State as she tallied up a total of 95 assists and 23 digs for the week. Hagglund's stellar passing contributed to the Huskies hitting a combined .382 in the two matches.
Against Arizona on Thursday, Hagglund finished with a match-high 44 assists and added nine digs and four total blocks as the Huskies hit .389. On Friday at Arizona State, she led all players with 51 assists and led Washington with 14 digs as the Huskies hit .375 for the match.
For the weekend, Hagglund averaged 15.83 apg and 3.38 dpg.
Hagglund has led the fourth-ranked Huskies in assists in all 22 games that she has appeared in. She has recorded 17 games of 40 or more assists, six games of 50 or more assists and two games of over 60 assists.
It is Hagglund's first weekly honor overall and Washington's 24th Pac-10 Player of the Week all-time.
