Metropolitan Grill Presents 100th Apple Cup Celebrity Bartending Event

WHAT: Metropolitan Grill hosts 'The 100th Apple Cup' ~ a celebrity bartending event to benefit UW's The Big 'W' Club and WSU's The Gray 'W' Club Scholarship Funds.
The Big 'W' Club is an organization comprised of former University of Washington student athletes which provides scholarship assistance and career mentoring for current student athletes.
The Gray 'W' Varsity Club is the national letter winners club for Washington State University. Their mission is to provide an avenue for former letter winners to stay connected with WSU Athletics.
The Met will donate a portion of the bar proceeds from the event to the scholarship funds.

5 - 7 p.m. (event will take place in the bar)
The Celebrity bartending event will bring together former legendary Husky and Cougar players. Please contact Katie Wilkinson at 425.220.1125 for further information.

DETAILS: The players will be stirring, shaking and serving specialty cocktails including Apple Cup Manhattan, The Purple Husky and The Crimson Cougar created exclusively for the event.
Guests can also make donations to The Big 'W' Club and The Gray 'W' Club throughout the event (there will be raffles). We will also hold an auction live at the event where guests can bid for embroidered and autographed Metropolitan Grill server jackets (signed by the celebrity athletes and embroidered with their names and worn on the night of the event).
The following University of Washington Hall of Fame athletes will be in attendance at the event:
Cameron (Cam) Cleeland - Husky tight end, nine seasons in NFL with Saints, Patriots & Rams
Nesby Glasgow - Former Husky Captain, spent fourteen seasons in NFL with Colts & Seahawks
Greg Lewis - Husky Tailback and former Denver Bronco
Thomas (Tom) Turnure - All star Center for Huskies from '76 - '79, selected by Detroit Lions
The following Washington State University Hall of Fame athletes will be in attendance at the event:
Jason Gesser - Star Quarterback and former Tennessee Titan
Jack Thompson - Two Time All American WSU Hall of Fame Inductee Quarterback
Marcus Trufant - Cornerback and current Seattle Seahawk
