Volleyball's One Goal for the Week: Beat 'Cats
Nov. 6, 2007
Hey Sun Devils!
Last week we split matches with the Washington schools. I
would like to say that we played well but that wouldn't be the truth.
We have been playing so well lately and last weekend was just a minor
slip up in the road. However, I'm very happy that even though we
didn't play to our full potential we found a way to win on Thursday
night. Friday night was a different story, Washington came out on
fire and we were flat. To beat the Huskies, you can't come out flat;
everyone has to be on her toes. Bottom line: we know that we can play
better and plan on doing so tomorrow against the 'Cats!
We travel to Tucson tonight and play University of Arizona
on Wednesday. When we play in Tucson, it's never a friendly
atmosphere. This team is just like us, hungry to get into the
tournament. We need 2 wins and they need 3, so this match is going to
be an intense one to say the least; with both teams battling to keep
their playoff hopes alive.
This week has been a short week of practicing. We only
practiced Sunday, Monday, and today before leaving for Tucson. To our
delight Brad has let us sleep in a little instead of starting at 8
a.m. like normal, which has been a nice surprise. Other then that the
team has been focused on our goals and we are excited to head down to
Tucson and beat the Cats!!
The game is at 7 p.m. at the McKale Center in Tucson if you
all want to drive down I promise that it's going to be a great match!
Hope you can make it! I also wanted to thank all of the fans that came
and supported us this last weekend. We had a great crowd! Thank you so
Thanks again for your support.
Talk to you all soon,
