Husky Invitational Set For This Week

SEATTLE - Over a dozen teams will compete this week in the annual Husky Invitational hosted by the University of Washington at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Wash.
The event, which will start this Thursday, Nov. 29 and run through Sunday, Dec. 2, will feature 13 teams including five men's teams that are ranked in the Top 25 by CollegeSwimming.com and three women's teams that are ranked in the Top 25.
Pac-10 schools California, Oregon State and USC will be competing, as will Boise State, Hawaii, Michigan, Notre Dame, Puget Sound, Seattle, UC Santa Barbara, Whitworth and Wyoming.
The ranked men's teams are Michigan (No. 4), California (No. 11), USC (No. 16), Notre Dame (No. 22) and Hawaii (No. 24). On the women's side, No. 5 California, No. 13 Michigan and No. 21 USC are all ranked.
The preliminaries on Thursday, Friday and Saturday will start at 9:30 a.m., with the finals starting on all three days at 6 p.m. A long course time trial will be held on Sunday, starting at 9:30 a.m.
Heat Sheets for the prelims on each day will be $5 with Heat Sheets for the finals costing $2 per day. Admission is free.
Both of the Husky men's and women's teams are off to good starts this season. The UW women enter the meet with a 4-2 dual meet record, while the men are 3-3 in dual meets.
