UCLA went undefeated (30-0) that year as the Bill Walton-led Bruins won their fifth-straight national title. UCLA won the first meeting 99-54 on Dec. 23, 1969. Sidney Wicks went on to lead UCLA to its third-consecutive NCAA title in 1970 with a 28-2 record.
