ASU Wrestling and Local Children Come Together for Night of Reading
Dec. 6, 2007
TEMPE, Ariz. - Members of the Arizona State University wrestling team visited the UMOM New Day Center in Phoenix last week and sat down with dozens of local children to read to them, have books read to them and play games. The center, which has provided aid for the community since 1964, saw numerous children in attendance as the wrestlers also signed autographs at the end of the evening.
The children, which come from homeless and/or low income situations, were all smiles as they selected books to read to the wrestlers or for the wrestlers to read to them. Some of the Sun Devils even worked with the older children on crossword puzzles and other games throughout their time at the Center.

As a team, the Sun Devils return to the mats on Tuesday, December 18, when they return to Nevada to compete in the Reno Tournament of Champions in Reno.
