Dec. 6, 2007
TEMPE, Ariz. - Eleven members of the Arizona State soccer program earned Academic All-Pac-10 honors Thursday. Seniors Kyleyn Felts and Alissa Oldenkamp and sophomore Liz Harkin all received first team honors.
Felts, who holds a 4.0 GPA in graphic design, became only the third Sun Devil to earn first team honors all three years she was eligible. Former players Amy LePeilbet (2001, 2002, 2003) and Kim Bingham (2004, 2005, 2006) were the first two student-athletes to make the list for three straight seasons.
Oldenkamp, who garnered first team honors in 2005, earned her third career accolades as she carries a 3.89 GPA in business management. She was named to the second team in 2006.
Harkin was the only sophomore named to the first team in 2007. She holds a 4.0 GPA in kinesiology.
The Sun Devils also had eight student-athletes named to the honorable mention list. Kicking off the list are seniors Lara Kezer and Lauren Niblett, who both earned their third career academic Pac-10 honors. Junior Kylla Sjoman was named to the honorable mention list for the second straight season. Rounding out the list are senior Courtney Crane, junior Carla Scanniello and sophomores Lindsey Johns, Carly Kallas and Briana Silvestri, all of which earned their first career honors.
To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor to the team.
