After missing the first 10 games due to an Achilles injury, UW senior forward/center Andrea Plouffe made her season debut in the starting lineup against Ohio State, and played 21 minutes.
Ohio State's win gave the Buckeyes a 2-0 lead in the all-time series with Washington.
Washington's loss dropped the Huskies to 3-2 at home this season, while Ohio State improved to 2-1 on the road.
Over the last 13:42 of the first half, Ohio State went on a 33-8 run - a span during which the Huskies made just three baskets. OSU had a pair of 12-0 runs during that stretch.
The Buckeyes had two players reach double-figure scoring in the opening 20 minutes. Marscilla Packer had 14 points and Starr Allen 10 points. Allen was then held scoreless in the second half, while Packer finished with 18.
Washington equaled its season-low for turnovers with 15.
Washington and Oregon State combined to shoot just four free throws. The Huskies did not attempt their first free throw until the 6:26 mark of the second half.
After shooting just .265 in the first half (9x34), Washington shot .533 in the second half (16x30).
Washington forward Jess McCormack scored eight of her 10 points after halftime. Guard Michelle Augustavo was also strong in the second half, totaling four of her five rebounds and all five of her assists after the break.
