Late Rally Pushes Beavers Past Northern Colorado

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) -- Seth Tarver had 15 points and Oregon State outscored Northern Colorado 11-2 over the final four minutes Wednesday to pull out a 65-56 victory.
Omari Johnson and Josh Tarver both added 10 points for Oregon State (6-4).
Jabril Banks scored 17 points for Northern Colorado (5-5), while Sean Taibi added 12, all in the second half.
Josh Tarver's floater capped a 7-0 run and gave Oregon State a 56-54 lead 3:35 to play.
From there, Northern Colorado scored just once, a basket by Banks with 1:01 to go.
Oregon State was 27-of-69 from the field and finished with a 41-28 rebounding advantage. Northern Colorado shot 19-of-42.
Oregon State scored six straight points to go ahead 45-35 on a transition basket by Marcel Jones with 13:30 left as the Beavers matched their biggest lead of the game. But Taibi had the game's next eight points, including two 3-pointers.
Oregon State had 12 offensive rebounds in the first half and led 30-24 at halftime despite shooting 13-of-36 from the field.
