Men's Hoops Closes Non-Conference Slate Saturday At 2 p.m.

Dec. 28, 2007

The men's basketball team (9-2) hosts Saint Francis (Pa.) (3-8) of the Northeast Conference on Saturday (Dec. 29) at 2 p.m. on KTAR 620 AM. ASU is trying for its first six-game win streak since a nine-game streak from Nov. 27-Dec. 29, 2004, and just its third six-game streak in the past 13 seasons, as the 1998-99 squad also won six straight from Dec. 5-29. ASU's youngest player, James Harden (born Aug. 26, 1989), leads the team in scoring at 16.5 points per game and is shooting 80.3 percent (49-of-61) from the foul line. After Saturday, ASU opens Pac-10 play on Jan. 3 against Oregon (7 p.m./no television) followed by a Jan. 5 game against Oregon State (2 p.m. on FSN).

The 2 p.m. Dec. 29 game vs. Saint Francis (Pa.) is free to all Arizona State and Maricopa Community College students who present a student ID.
