Jon Hargis Named To ESPN's All-May Day Team

Jan. 3, 2008

TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State University's redshirt freshman defensive tackle Jon Hargis has been named to ESPN's 2007 All-Mayday Team, ESPN announced.

Hargis injured his shoulder early in the Sun Devils meeting with UCLA on November 10 in the Rose Bowl. After receiving treatment, Hargis returned to the game, making several key plays in the 24-20 Sun Devil victory.

Hargis finished the year with 20 tackles, including three tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. He also forced a fumble and batted a pass.

Labeled as a collection of the toughest of the tough in college football as selected by College Football Hall of Fame member Mark May of ESPN, Hargis follows teammate Josh Barrett, who was named to the 2006 All-Mayday Team, as well as former Sun Devil Andrew Carnahan, who was named in 2005.
