Arizona State's Micky Benedetti and Stanford's Meg Hostage Named Pac-10 Divers of the Month

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - ARIZONA STATE men's diver Micky Benedetti and STANFORD's women's diver Meg Hostage have been named Pac-10 Divers of the Month for December, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Benedetti, a junior from Rome, Italy, won the 1-meter at the Ohio State Invitational for the second consecutive year. He earned an NCAA automatic qualifying dive of 374.80 to place first in the event. He also finished in third place on the 3-meter with an NCAA automatic qualifying dive of 387.00.
This is the fourth monthly honor for Benedetti and ASU's seventh men's Diver of the Month all-time.
Hostage, a freshman from Potomac, Md., won the platform event with a score of 261.75 on the final day of the three-day Texas Invitational to cap off her standout diving performance. On the first day of competition, she led the Cardinal with a third place finish on the 3-meter (297.50) and on the second day she again placed third on the 1-meter with a score of 286.25.
This is the first monthly honor for Hostage and Stanford's third women's Diver of the Month all-time.
