Sun Devils Hold Off Oregon 52-51

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) _ Briann January scored 14 points, Lauren Lacey added 13 and Sybil Dosty blocked a last-second shot to lead Arizona State past Oregon 52-51 Saturday.

Dosty added nine points and 11 rebounds in the Sun Devils' fourth straight win.

Oregon had the ball for the final 17 seconds but Tamika Nurse's drive was blocked by Dosty. Ellie Manou grabbed the rebound but could not get a shot off before the buzzer.

Nurse scored 15 points to lead the Ducks, who have lost four in a row.

The Sun Devils scored 20 points off 21 Oregon turnovers in sweeping the Ducks.

Oregon's Nicole Canepa added 11 points and six rebounds before fouling out with 3:39 left.

Arizona State (15-7, 9-2 Pac-10) went on a 13-2 run early in the second half to take a 39-30 lead with 14:51 left.

But Oregon rallied, pulling within one point with 39 seconds left on Ellie Manou's layup.

Arizona State has beaten Oregon (10-12, 4-7), in seven straight meetings.
